@RyanMatta I really admire your work exposing child trafficking! Would you seriously consider creating a documentary about the religious-centered child abuse taking place in conservative Christian homes that was promoted by Dr. James Dobson as 'religious authoritarian parenting.' There are many meta-analyses that have proven his methods to not only be ineffective as corrective measures, but to have profoundly harmful long-term effects on mental health -- look at Taylor Tomlinson. His methods have been promoted for nearly 50 years. In the 90s, 1 in every 5 child in the US experienced emotional neglect. In fact, that number is still the most accurate number even today, as the rate is 18% globally. Nowadays, 12.5% of Christian households still use his parenting methods; science recognizes authoritarian parenting as inherently emotional neglectful, which is just as harmful as physical abuse alone. But he also regularly promoted spanking without always clarifying that a legal spanking is 'open-hand on butt only' and instead gave anecdotes about beating his little dog with a belt into submission. Here's another example: “Some strong-willed children absolutely demand to be spanked, and their wishes should be granted… two or three stinging strokes on the legs or buttocks with a switch are usually sufficient to emphasize the point, ‘You must obey me.’” (The Strong-Willed Child, pp. 53–54). Hitting with an implement is not precisely legal and often results in physical abuse (and even if no physical marks are left, frequency is also a determinant, just as one example). There are many people really messed up today and they don't know why. The survivors need someone to tell their truth. Simply because something is 'Biblical' doesn't mean that it is 'Christ-like.' The adults who were raised in religious authoritarian abuse need their experiences validated in order for them to heal. It has to end, and that won't happen if the religious abuse isn't acknowledged first.
Under the Biden administration, roughly 60,000 people flood this facility each year. It's outrageously costly to cater to these migrants, and still, they have the nerve to whine about the food!
